Ma inspects a fighter jet, sometime in 1945 or 1946. "I'll bet it was taken at the Air Force training center in Rantoul, Chanute Air Force Base, about 10 miles north of Champaign," Uncle Vam says. "They had 'open house' events a couple times every year where they'd show off the base and the last AF equipment."
