Ma, holding her stuffed kitty Ni Ni, stands on the front stoop of the Lynn Street house with trusty friend Blackie at her side. Fran included an inscription on the back that gives Blackie's fullname as "Blackout Rodehaver Sauer"and mentions, "Marti's scarlet suit with hat trimmed with white fur - made by Anne Stice; she made a similar one for Mary Anne, her daughter, also born in May '43.
